Event Description
We all need time every now and then to get outside and re-balance.  DOVIA Colorado is thrilled to offer our own version of forest bathing, which we're calling garden bathing!

Background:  Forest bathing, also known as Shinrin-yoku, aims to immerse individuals in nature for enhanced well-being. By engaging senses in serene environments like forests, it promotes relaxation and stress reduction through activities such as mindful walks and breathing exercises. The primary goal is to foster a deeper connection with nature while disconnecting from the fast-paced modern world.  The benefits of forest bathing are manifold, including reduced cortisol levels, lower blood pressure, and boosted immunity. It also improves mood, enhances focus and creativity, and fosters appreciation for the environment. Ultimately, forest bathing offers a holistic approach to well-being, promoting harmony between humans and nature for a healthier, more balanced life.

This session of garden bathing will be supported by Patty Jackson.  Patty is the Volunteer Manager at Swallow Hill Music and has been in volunteer management for 10 years.  She is looking forward to introducing you to this excellent way to connect with the beauty of nature and to de-stress.
