Event Description
Volunteer recruitment doesn’t start with finding new people—it starts with creating an amazing experience for your current volunteers. In this webinar, Angela Williamson will share her proven strategies for turning your volunteer program into a welcoming, engaging environment that encourages volunteers to return time and again.
In this session, you'll learn:
  • How to enhance the volunteer experience from the moment they first interact with your organization.
  • Tips on creating a culture of recognition, teamwork, and belonging.
  • Ways to inspire long-term commitment and build lasting relationships with your volunteers.

Angela Williamson has been involved with volunteer engagement and leadership for over 19 years in a museum and currently is the Volunteer & Community Relations Specialist for the Blood Bank of Delmarva. In 2024 she incorporated her Volunteer Engagement Accelerator consulting business to help organizations engage volunteers more effectively and efficiently making a great impact in their community. Angela has presented for AL!VE’s annual conference, Delaware State Office of Volunteerism Conferences, Delaware Association of Volunteer Administrators (DAVA), and Texas Volunteer Management Conference. She’s been on Nicole R. Smith’s podcast multiple times. Angela was the president of DAVA for several years, and started an AL!VE Healthcare COP in 2020. She was awarded the AL!VE Impact Award in 2022. She volunteers in her local community. She is a co-instructor for Northwest Oregon Volunteer Administrators Association (NOVAA) 101 courses.
